Mindtech (Metal Industry and Technologies International Trade Fair), in collaboration with the European Union, announces the second edition of the SEUA-Mindtech Awards, awards that seek to highlight the best business and innovation projects and initiatives.

The call, open until July 24, is open to companies from all over Europe with relevant projects in the following categories: innovation, 4.0 technologies, circular economy, corporate social responsibility, mobility and startups.
The SEUA-Mindtech Awards open from today their second edition, with a call for entries aimed at any company or entity (both startups and consolidated companies) based in Europe that has a relevant project or track record in one of the six categories that will remain open until July 24.
These awards, organized in collaboration with the European Union, are framed within the Mindtech international fair, which celebrates its second edition next September 14-16 in Vigo. They will be presented during the gala dinner of the fair on September 14.
The awards are organized in collaboration with the StartUp Europe Awards (SEUA), an open innovation initiative of the European Commission implemented by the Finnova Foundation, which has been supported by the President of the European Parliament, the President of the Committee of the Regions, the Vice-President of the European Economic and Social Committee and several members of the European Parliament.
The jury of the awards has been constituted this morning at the headquarters of Asime in Vigo, formed by the entities promoting the fair and relevant institutions in the field of business and innovation: Asime, Finnova, Igape, Gain, Concello de Vigo, Deputation of Pontevedra, Icex, Ifevi, CZFV and Abanca.
The jury stated in its constitution that “these awards are an excellent example of the great potential of the metal industry and its associated technologies at international level, focus precisely of Mindtech, which is consolidated as an ideal showcase to exhibit the enormous added value of our industry in the current context of economic recovery post-covid19”. “Undoubtedly, the awarded companies will serve as inspiration as success stories for other companies in the sector and will highlight the competitiveness of this industry to face the challenges of the future linked to digitization, mobility, energy transition, corporate social responsibility or innovation.”

- Innovation Award: Award for the best career linked to innovation.
- 4.0 Award: Award for the promotion and implementation of 4.0 technologies.
- StartUp Award: Award to the outstanding StartUp or Spin Off.
- CSR Award: Award to the organization that supports the development of a comprehensive and permanent Corporate Social Responsibility policy.
- Circular Economy Award: Award to the outstanding organization in the optimization of the life cycle of resources, from eco-design to reduction, recycling, repair and reuse.
- Mobility Award: Award for the initiative that promotes disruptive change in the field of mobility.
Awards
The awards will be commemorative and will be presented during the Mindtech gala dinner on September 14.
In the startup category, an acceleration check of 5,000 euros funded by the Xunta de Galicia will also be awarded, which the winning startup will be able to exchange for mentoring services to obtain European funding, networking and other consulting and support activities through the Finnova Foundation.
How to participate
Any company based in Europe, from startups to consolidated companies or multinationals, can compete for the awards. To do so, an executive summary, a project report and, optionally, an elevator pitch video presentation of a maximum of 5 minutes must be submitted before July 24 (23:59hs Spanish time).
In the startup category there will be an intermediate phase in which a maximum of 10 finalists will be selected for which a public voting system will be opened during the month of August, in order to contribute to the final decision of the jury.
