- The Mindtech fair (Metal Industry and Technologies International Trade Fair), presents the jury of the fourth edition of the Mindtech Awards, awards that seek to highlight the best projects and initiatives linked to the current challenges of the industry.
- The call, open until 30 April, is open to companies with relevant projects in the following categories: innovation, sustainability, sectoral collaboration and artificial intelligence.
The Mindtech Awards open their fourth call for entries today, aimed at any company or entity with a relevant project or track record in one of the four categories, which will remain open until 30 April.
These awards are part of the Mindtech international fair, which will celebrate its fourth edition from 17 to 19 June in Ifevi, Vigo. The awards will be presented during the gala dinner of the fair, on June 17, in an event of the highest level attended by more than 400 people at the Hotel Pazo Los Escudos. To compete for the awards it is not necessary to be an exhibitor at the fair and they are open to companies or organisations from any country. Attendance is free of charge.
The jury for the awards was announced this morning at Asime’s headquarters in Vigo, made up of entities promoting the fair and relevant institutions in the field of business and innovation: ASIME, ABANCA, Axencia Galega de Innovación (GAIN), Consorcio Zona Franca de Vigo (CZFV), ICEX, IGAPE, Deputación de Pontevedra, and Mindtech itself.

Companies from all over the world are expected to compete for the awards, with previous winners including Senseye, Trumpf, Ctag, Grupo Davila, Teiga, Industrial Recense, CIE Automotive, Congalsa, Digamel, Versa Real Projects, TripleAlpha, UARX Space, Netun. CO2 Smart Technologies, Oxiplant, Peltinell, Genesal Energy, Meifus and Velca.
Mindtech expects to bring together more than 200 exhibitors, 50 speakers, hundreds of B2B meetings and 10,000 visitors at this year’s event, which has established itself as a benchmark in the Iberian Pole. ‘For this edition, more than 150 exhibitors have already confirmed their presence. The vast majority of exhibitors are from outside Galicia and around 20% are from other countries, confirming the international character of the fair and its consolidation in this fourth edition’, the organisers emphasise.

The awards include four different categories, in which entries will be evaluated based on criteria of economic impact, disruptive character, social clauses and equality policies, compliance and implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, business interconnection and participation in funded projects.
- Innovation Award: Award for the best career linked to innovation.
- Sustainability Award: Award to the leading organisation in research and sustainable development in areas such as: renewable energies, circular economy, efficient resource management, waste management, green manufacturing, decarbonisation, optimisation of industrial processes, energy efficiency.
- Collaborative Award: Award for the initiative that promotes the exchange of technologies and knowledge to boost innovation and competitiveness.
- Artificial Intelligence Award: Award to the organisation that designs and/or implements innovative solutions using Artificial Intelligence (AI).
What is Mindtech
Mindtech, the industrial and technological fair of the Iberian Pole, organised by Asime, will hold its 4th edition from 17 to 19 June 2025, at Ifevi, Vigo.
The fair has become an international industrial benchmark, with the presence of exhibitors and visitors from all areas of activity related to the metal sector and its associated technologies, including the following: machinery, automotive, aeronautics-aerospace, defence, renewable energies, metal structures, 4.0 technologies, robotics, subcontracting, supplies, additive manufacturing, electricity and electronics, moulds-die-casting, logistics and business services.
After its first three editions, Mindtech has established itself as a hub for industrial business between Europe, Africa and the Atlantic countries.
Furthermore, the fourth edition of Mindtech has reached a significant milestone by being recognised with full international status by the Secretary of State for Trade, reinforcing its global impact and attractiveness for companies, which can benefit from co-financed participation of up to 70% through the Galicia Exporta Empresas programme of the Xunta de Galicia and other similar programmes in various communities.
The international character of the fair attracts in each edition more than 10 different countries, among which have participated, in addition to Spain and Portugal, Japan, South Korea, China, Colombia, Mexico, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Israel, Germany, France, Poland, Italy or United Kingdom. In this 4th edition in 2025, the guest country will be Mexico.
The Startup Arena will once again showcase the technologies and business models of the future and host a competition between the most innovative start-ups, which will present their solutions to potential investors at the heart of the Mindtech fair.
B2B meetings will also be held to promote high added value business contacts, and the latest international developments and trends will be addressed at the Mindtech International Conference and thematic conferences, which will feature renowned international leaders to address issues such as: mobility of the future, automation, digitalisation, innovation and entrepreneurship, renewable energies, security and defence, aerospace, and attracting professionals to the sector.
