Nuno Teixeira | Commercial director at PAKA Robotics

What is your overall assessment of Mindtech? What we have seen has been very positive, both in terms of professional organisation and the level of company attendance. I see that everything is handled in detail, and this gives us security and confidence that our presence at the fair will be a success.

How would you assess PAKA Robotics’ 17 years in the market? Our company has experienced exponential but very sustained growth in its 17 years of existence. Our differentiating factors are based on in-depth technological knowledge in robotics, welding and, above all, industrial cell production. It is the challenges posed by our customers that drive us to improve our skills, and we always seek to offer the best technical solution at a competitive price.

‘The challenges posed by our customers are what drive us to improve our skills.’

What projects are you working on and what challenges does PAKA Robotics face in the medium term? The market remains quite active, although some sectors, such as the automotive industry, are not as strong. The market remains quite active, although some sectors, such as the automotive industry, are not as strong. We continue to pay close attention to different industrial sectors, especially those where it is more difficult to find skilled labour, as well as applications where the workload requires a robot to be the best option.

‘The main trend we are seeing is the continued exponential growth in robot installations’ our customers’ needs.

Which of your projects would you highlight and what do you think are the future trends in your sector?

Within robotics and welding, there is a wide range of solutions that we can offer the market. Our added value lies in welding solutions, both with industrial and collaborative robots. In Spain and Portugal, we already have very good customer coverage, with some customers having dozens of our robots installed in their plants. The main trend we are seeing is the continued exponential growth of robot installations for repetitive tasks that are less ergonomic for humans or too demanding. There is a strong trend towards a human-machine change, in this case, a robot. We are keeping a close eye on these changes and seeking to increase our market presence in order to meet the needs of our customers.

What values define the way PAKA works and the people who form part of it? Above all, our PAKA culture prioritises seriousness in everything related to customer relations. We do not see customers as a business opportunity; for us, the most important thing is to meet their needs and participate in their challenges as a business partner, always with the highest quality and reliability. Our technical team is highly focused on ensuring that the implementation is as effective and efficient as possible. A successful installation is the best way to enable us to continue as a supplier of excellence for that same customer before a future sale may occur.
