We talked to Marc Hegger, Country Manager Spain at Norelem. He tells us that the company is a manufacturer and distributor of standardised components for machinery and automation. With more than 65 years in the industry, they supply more than 130,000 high quality components for design engineers and machine technicians. The availability of 98% of all components in stock allows them to deliver within 24 hours throughout Galicia.
Why did you decide to go for Mindtech in its fourth edition in 2025?
We have participated in previous editions and the evolution of the industrial fabric in Galicia motivates us to participate again in this great event.

What will you present at Mindtech 2025?
Intelligent clamping products for the machining industry. Clamping with sensors to monitor the process of clamping correctly in position and with the specific force required during the entire machining process – absolute traceability.
What do you think is the differential value of the metallurgical industry and its associated technologies in the Iberian Pole in particular?
Highly qualified and motivated employees in the sector, flexibility in projects, strategic geographical location.
What challenges do you see facing the industry today?
The industrial recession in Germany (a major export market) and the threat of US tariffs.
What is needed to meet these challenges and maintain the industry’s competitiveness?
A policy that supports and strengthens the industrial fabric in Europe. A policy sector with know-how and a curriculum in the industrial sector.
