Murrelektronik Spain is the Spanish branch of the German multinational of the same name, dedicated to the manufacture and marketing of products for industrial automation. Focused on the development of innovative products that facilitate the automation of machines and processes, Murrelektronik helps to reduce costs both in the implementation of new solutions and in the improvement of productivity.
The German group company is present in multiple industrial sectors: machine tool manufacturing, automotive industry, warehousing and logistics, food&beverage, packaging, renewable energies… Its wide and constantly evolving product range includes everything from electronic components in the control cabinet (emc filters, suppressors, interface modules, power supplies, electronic fuses), to interface systems (cable entry systems, signaling beacons) and connection technology (connectors, cables) and I/O systems (fieldbus technology, distribution systems). Why did you decide to bet on Mindtech in its second edition?
Mindtech proved to be a very interesting bet for the sector in its first edition, which together with the importance that the area is acquiring in industrial robotics in recent years becomes an appointment of great interest for Murrelektronik.
What novelties will you present at Mindtech 2021?
We are going to disembark at Mindtech with a complete offer of decentralized industrial automation systems with simple cloud connection, created for the digitization of machine and plant diagnostics.
What is the added value for Murrelektronik in participating in this fair?
The excellent penetration in other areas with the same profile of customers whom we have been able to help in the development of their activities, an experience that we hope to repeat this time.
How are you facing the reactivation in the new scenario imposed by COVID-19?
We have experienced an excellent but too rapid recovery that has significantly affected the supply chain and the adaptation of the production of our products. It is important to bear in mind that both in Asia, Europe and the USA there are still people directly or indirectly affected by the virus, which makes forecasts fluctuate too much.
What do you think the year 2021-2022 looks like for the metal industry in Spain in particular and in the Iberian Pole in general?
Spain and the whole Iberian Pole will suffer an increase in industrial and productive needs but at different speeds.
While Europe and the rest of the markets have already started this recovery, the Iberian Pole will do it in a smoother way but with a longer path, which makes us expect very good years for both 2021 and 2022. However, we must take into account the shortage of some raw materials and their rising prices, logistical problems and the uncertainty of new virus outbreaks as conditioning factors.
