  • Asime, as the organiser of the Mindtech (Metal Industry & Technologies International Trade Fair), has visited the Pomeranian Development Agency in the Polish city of Gdańsk.
  • During the meeting, close contacts have been made with entrepreneurs from the Pomeranian region, who have shown great interest in Mindtech 2025 to open up the market to the industrial sector of the Iberian Pole, taking advantage of its international character to expand business to other countries.
  • The Pomeranian Development Agency has already participated in the 2023 and 2021 editions of the international trade fair Mindtech, which is held biennially in Vigo.

Mindtech’s CEO, Enrique Mallón, and the Director of Institutional Relations, Jennifer González, have travelled to the Polish city of Gdańsk to meet with representatives of the Pomeranian Development Agency.

They met with its Vice-President, Piotr Ciechowicz, the Director of the Business Development Department, Katarzyna Matuszak-Dzierżyńska, and the Director of Invest in Pomerania, Wojciech Tyborowski. They also held meetings with the Polish Space Agency POLSA, represented by Ewa Zysnarska, and with the Polish Employers Business Association, represented by Beata Koniarska.

They thus return the visit to this Polish economic development entity that has participated with a delegation of more than 15 companies in the editions of the Mindtech 2023 and 2021 fair, organised by Asime on a biennial basis in Vigo. During this meeting in Gdansk, both entities have explored business opportunities and the attraction of companies related to the next edition of the Metal Industry & Technologies International Trade Fair, to be held in 2025.

Enrique Mallón, Managing Director of Mindtech, highlighted: “Pomerania is a region of great industrial interest, characterised by its diversity of leading companies in areas such as aviation, offshore wind, metalworking, maritime or logistics, with Gdansk being the innovative metropolis of the Baltic”.

Mindtech’s visit to the Pomeranian Development Agency, one of the most representative cross-cutting agencies in Poland, also included institutional meetings that reinforced the close cooperation with the region.

“Our visit to the Polish industry, with the help of the Pomeranian Development Agency, has been very productive. We have been able to learn about the reality of the companies in the region, mainly in the offshore wind, naval-maritime and metal-mechanical segments, with the aim of strengthening ties with a view to their participation in the next edition of the international Mindtech fair that we will hold in 2025”.

“We have been able to discover where they can generate the greatest synergies for their incursion into the European market, relying on Mindtech as a gateway and taking advantage of the international nature of the fair to expand their business,” Mindtech emphasises.

In addition to the meeting with the Pomeranian Development Agency. the organising team of the Mindtech fair, made up of representatives of Asime, has also taken the opportunity to participate in Baltexpo, one of the most important maritime events in Europe, where they have closed meetings with groups of the sector and leading companies in the naval-maritime field.
