Mindtech continued today on its second day with a program focused on business exchange and attracting top industry leaders who shared their knowledge and reflections.
B2B meetings
The Mindtech Business Area today hosted more than 100 face-to-face bilateral meetings between companies.
Enrique Mallón, CEO of Mindtech, highlighted “This is the essence of this fair, which has already established itself as the hub of industrial business in the Iberian Pole. These high value-added contacts will undoubtedly serve to boost the recovery of the industrial sector after the impact of covid-19, strengthening the Galicia-Portugal axis as a commercial gateway to Europe, Africa and the Atlantic countries”.
The face-to-face meetings were attended by companies from all over Spain, Portugal, Colombia and Mexico. In parallel, this year B2B meetings have also been opened virtually, where more than 200 meetings have already been held with the presence of other countries that, due to restrictions in their place of origin, have not been able to travel to the fair this year.

Speakers’ Corner
This new meeting and knowledge space of the Mindtech fair was filled today with the experience and projects of several outstanding companies. The Deputation of Pontevedra presented the results of the IN 4.0 project; ABB brought us closer to its new GOFA cobot; ASM Soft talked about digitalization of SMEs with smart factories and MOBAE presented the 9 projects that have been accelerated as part of its initiative for advanced and extended mobility.
Mobility of the Future
The Mobility of the Future Workshop brought together leading companies in the sector such as AECT, Stellantis, Iberdrola, Boeing and Irizar.
Laudelino Laiz, Innovation Director at Stellantis: “Hyperconnectivity, the digitalization of products and processes and the importance of the user experience, all in an increasingly complex technological context, are some of the driving forces that will move this sector in the coming years”.
Carlos Bergera, Head of External Relations of Intelligent Mobility, Iberdrola insisted on the challenge of electrification and the charging network that they are promoting in homes, companies and public institutions, while betting on new models such as car-sharing.
Eduardo Carrillo, Director of Strategy and Business Development at Boeing, provided the vision of mobility from aviation: “The forecast for the commercial aircraft market in the next 10 years is 9 trillion dollars, figures higher than 2019 and the pre-pandemic moment, so we are optimistic. In this context of growth, sustainability is going to set the pulse, and to this end we are working on designing new aircraft that are much more respectful of the new environment, while optimizing aircraft routes in real time to avoid weather conditions that cause them to consume more fuel. For takeoffs and landings, we are working on continuous descent approaches, without steps, and we are promoting local value chains for fuel use. Finally, the key will be the electrification and safety of unmanned autonomous driving to reach urban cabs.
Íñigo Azcona, Sales Director for Spain and Portugal at Irizar e-mobility, highlighted the commitment of the company, which has invested 75 million euros in the mobility of the future: “we are focused on electric vehicles, zero carbon and noise emissions, with a lot of autonomy and with a design that turns the bus into a product that attracts attention, with futuristic and transgressive buses. We are also working on electric trucks for garbage collection, our own battery production, charge management and, in short, a turnkey solution that allows the customer to worry only about operating the vehicles, which is where the market is heading”.
The second day of Mindtech concluded with a networking cocktail at the Hotel Bahía in the center of Vigo, in an exceptional setting overlooking the Vigo estuary.
