At Mindtech we have had the pleasure of speaking with Abel Crespo, Territorial Sales Manager at Metrologic Group, who tells us that the company was founded in 1980 in France and is dedicated to the development and commercialisation of three-dimensional measurement software solutions, electronic devices and related services.

They have a global presence with sales offices in France, Spain, Italy, Germany, China, India, Brazil and the USA. They also have a network of distributors in the UK, Portugal, Mexico, Argentina, Croatia, Sweden, Japan, Poland, etc.

They are part of the Sandvik group which allows them to join synergies with other group companies worldwide.

Why did you decide to go for Mindtech in its fourth edition in 2025?

We have decided to return to Mindtech because for us the area of Galicia is very important where we want to be able to expand our presence.

What is the added value for your company to participate in this fair?

A bit of what we have already mentioned, to have a greater presence in the area and to be close to our existing customers, customers with a long history with us and with whom we want to continue to have close contact.

¿Qué presentará en Mindtech 2025?

Our innovations focus on the automation of 3D inspection, the creation of digital twins for the simulation of the three-dimensional inspection, the management of the data obtained and the preparation of the measurement report.

Abel Crespo, Territorial Sales Manager at Metrologic Group.

What do you think is the differential value of the metallurgical industry and its associated technologies in the Iberian Pole in particular?

I believe that one of the differential values of the metal industry within the Iberian Pole is the know-how of our companies, which translates into a high quality of the final product.

What challenges do you see facing the industry today?

The biggest challenge facing the industry is globalisation and global instability, which often slows down investment.

What is needed to meet these challenges and maintain the industry’s competitiveness?

In order to maintain the competitiveness of the industry, it is necessary to continue working towards the future, investing in modernising processes and means.
