Maquinaria Márquez was founded in 1985. It has more than 35 years of experience in the supply, installation and maintenance of machine tools. Its different complementary lines of business make it an integral supplier to the metal industry sector.
Maquinaria Márquez has developed expertise in business lines that affect the entire industrial chain:
- Import and distribution of new machinery, standing out with a long tradition of importing machinery from the Czech Republic and Slovakia with TOS VARNSDORF boring machines at the forefront, TOS CELAKOVICE lathes and MAS Kovosvit Machining Centers and TRENS conventional parallel lathes. Likewise, following market trends and looking for the best value for money, but without losing sight of maintaining the highest levels of quality and precision, the Taiwanese companies HONORSEIKI as a manufacturer of vertical lathes, WELE with its bridge milling machines and Startech Machinery with vertical machining centers and CNC parallel lathes have been integrated. More recently, they have incorporated BRAY, a manufacturer of machinery for machining composites and light alloys from the Czech Republic.
- Sale of Used Machinery, they commercialize especially machinery of big dimensions, they review the machines to deliver them in an optimal state of operation, being able to carry out the disassembly, adaptation and transfer of the same ones as well as the starting up and later maintenance of the same ones. They also have a warehouse where they check and adjust the machines coming from exchanges for new machinery.
- Specialized technical service, with which they attend to any incident with their machines and minimize downtime for their customers.
“For Maquinaria Márquez, the quality and proximity of our service is one of the fundamental pillars that make our relationships with customers long and lasting, optimizing their cost of ownership and profitability.”
Why have you decided to bet on Mindtech in its second edition?
We believe that in these post-pandemic times, personal contact is once again fundamental to rebuild all social relationships, and Mindtech allows us to meet this objective. The rapprochement with our historical clients and the reunion between companies must favor the economic recovery. It also allows us to show the pulse of the companies in the sector in a unique and close way.
What novelties will you be presenting at Mindtech 2021?
At Mindtech 2021 we will place special emphasis on TOS Varnsdorf’s new products, especially its new boring machines and multifunction machining centers with their turning tables and automatic heads. We will also present Bray machines for alloys and light materials such as composites, aluminum alloys or plastics. All this accompanied by technological developments related to industry 4.0 and its integration into the machine tool that will allow us to have more efficient and competitive companies.
What is the added value for your company when participating in this fair?
To improve and strengthen our relationships with customers in Galicia, a community in which we have a long-established and historical presence.
Being able to meet most of these customers in a single location helps us to make these contacts in a very short time, with considerable savings in time and costs, while we can work on more elaborate and adjusted offers to transmit in a more concrete way the technological innovations that we present.
How are you facing the recovery in the new scenario imposed by COVID-19?
The recovery is slower than expected and desired, but we sense that there is a backlog of work and orders waiting for the market situation to improve and for the effects of the pandemic to pass. The machining sector definitely needs to invest in more modern, more precise and technological machine tools, a step forward that will allow our companies to compete in an increasingly globalized market, and we are convinced that this will happen from the fourth quarter of 2021 onwards, with full intensity in 2022.
