Manuel Pena | Bsuiness Development Galicia in Grupo Oesía
How would you define Grupo Oesía’s mission and vision in the current context of the technology industry?
We are a 100% Spanish multinational dedicated to dual‑use digital and industrial engineering. Over the course of nearly 50 years of history, we have innovated in products and services with a clear purpose: to create a better, more efficient, secure, and sustainable world. Our technological solutions strengthen the competitiveness and resilience of public administrations and companies, driving national technological sovereignty and European strategic autonomy.
“Our purpose is clear: to create a better, more efficient, secure, and sustainable world.”
How do you assess the company’s participation in Mindtech, and what objectives did you have as exhibitors?
Mindtech is a key meeting point in Galicia and the north‑west of the Iberian Peninsula, bringing together leading industries such as automotive, energy, aerospace, and naval.
Our participation had a dual objective: to bring our technological capabilities closer to industrial companies and to strengthen strategic alliances with customers, partners, and innovation clusters. We highly value the fair, as it allowed us to showcase our value proposition in the industrial sector and strengthen our presence in a business ecosystem as dynamic as Galicia’s.
What products did Grupo Oesía present at Mindtech?
During Mindtech, we presented solutions that integrate our main lines of innovation in industrial digital transformation. In terms of productivity, we help companies improve processes related to quality, maintenance, and production, with the aim of facilitating the digital transition to Industry 4.0, focusing on three key aspects: artificial intelligence, user experience, and integration capabilities with the client’s digital ecosystem.
Some of the products and solutions we presented were:
- Solution MES from our partner EMI SUITE 4.0, where we provide the infrastructure and integrate tools for the management, control, and monitoring of everything that happens in a production plant.
- OKM (Oesía Knowledge Manager): an intelligent corporate knowledge management system that allows users fast and accurate access to all company knowledge through natural language, ensuring secure access based on customized permissions.
- We also presented NextPi, an intelligent platform that uses generative AI to automate the classification, extraction, and management of data, integrating it into client platforms via APIs.
- ODAF Data Analytics and Governance: a data governance and analytics tool that develops predictive models to detect behavior patterns, enabling early identification of situations that may cause failures in the production process or allow for advance simulations.
- And an intelligent access control and occupational risk prevention (PRL) system to optimize safety and management in industrial environments. An advanced solution to ensure personnel protection, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Which solutions would you highlight for their innovation?
In the field of cybersecurity, we presented the OpenNAC tool to strengthen security through three key modules: detection, quantification, and qualification of all devices connected to the corporate network, as well as cybersecurity gaps in IT, OT, and IoT networks; support for authentication and segmentation of users and suppliers to secure and protect production lines and critical machinery; and ensuring secure remote connections.
We also presented solutions for compliance with industrial regulations such as NIS2, as well as other standards (ISO 2001, ISO 223301, ENS, GDPR, LOPDGDD, among others).
Industrial pentesting: a solution for assessment, vulnerability identification, and business continuity assurance.
And preventive and proactive monitoring services for all assets in real time, 24x7x365, along with incident detection and management through our high‑availability SOC located in Spanish territory, backed by more than 20 years of experience.
“Our cybersecurity offering combines advanced detection, regulatory compliance, and business continuity.”
In the area of business development, which are the most innovative projects you are driving?
One of our most innovative projects is Oesía Knowledge Manager (OKM), our corporate knowledge manager, which is evolving into an intelligent recommendation and decision‑making system. With this evolution, Grupo Oesía brings to market a living platform that combines artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, and automation, enabling industrial companies to improve quality, production, and maintenance while strengthening their ability to make secure, data‑driven decisions.
In parallel, we are developing the PHAROS project, a platform that facilitates the generation of ESG assessments. Its goal is to streamline analysts’ work and make it more accessible for SMEs. With PHAROS, we aim to democratize ESG compliance, allowing more companies to successfully adapt to new sustainability requirements.
“We apply AI, automation, and technological innovation to make industry more competitive, sustainable, and resilient.”
What growth and expansion opportunities do you see for your company in the technology market, especially in the industrial sector?
We see significant growth opportunities in the digitalization and automation of industry’s day‑to‑day processes—from quality to production and maintenance—through the implementation of MES systems and advanced platforms that integrate real‑time information. The next step is the development of predictive models based on digital twins, capable of anticipating failures or inefficiencies and recommending the optimal operation on the plant floor, turning data into concrete decisions.
In addition, the field of OT cybersecurity and industrial communication networks based on 5G will be key to ensuring more connected, secure, and resilient production environments. We believe that the convergence of these technologies represents the major competitiveness lever for industry in the coming years. Our strategy is based on internationalization, hyper‑specialization, and investment in key technologies, always with a focus on consolidating Grupo Oesía as a reliable and innovative partner for industry.
