Mindtech Awards Winners Announced

Once the Ifevi doors closed, Mindtech continued its first day with the presentation of the Mindtech Awards at the Pazo Los Escudos Hotel.

The Mindtech Awards jury thus revealed the difficult verdict they reached after evaluating the proposals from more than 20 companies that participated in this competition. These awards are part of the international Mindtech fair, which is holding its fourth edition until this Thursday, June 19, at the Ifevi in ​​Vigo.

On this occasion, the Mindtech Awards were sponsored by Carburos Metálicos, the Illustrious Official College of Engineers of Galicia, Merasys, and Servitalent, demonstrating their commitment to business excellence.

The jury for the awards is made up of ABANCA, the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN), the Vigo Free Zone Consortium (CZFV), ICEX, IGAPE and the Pontevedra Deputation.

The jury declared at the awards ceremony that “these awards are an excellent example of the great potential of the metal industry and its associated technologies on an international level, the focus of Mindtech, which is consolidating itself as a showcase for the enormous added value of our industry”. “Without a doubt, the award-winning companies will serve as inspirational success stories for other companies in the sector and will highlight the competitiveness of this industry to face future challenges related to innovation, digitalization, sustainability, and business collaboration.”

Awarded by category:

  1. Innovation: CENTUM. They received the award for their advanced solutions in the fields of engineering and the aerospace industry, in which they apply a disruptive approach. The jury highlighted their proprietary methodology and open innovation model.
  2. Collaboration: AIMEN. Awarded for their work on collaborative projects such as the European Mari4_YARD, which promotes the modernization of small and medium-sized shipyards with technological solutions focused on worker safety and ergonomics.
  3. Sustainability: CEAMSA. Awarded for its “Purely Sustainable” strategy, which integrates sustainability into the entire organization and its production processes, with actions focused on the product, the planet, people, and maintaining its social commitment.
  4. Artificial Intelligence: HERMASA. They received the award for the development of Smart Tunipack, the first intelligent tuna packing machine, which combines IoT, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence.
