AsorCAD Engineering is an advanced engineering services company founded in 2005 that develops activities in 3D scanning and its different applications, reverse engineering, metrology and 3D printing mainly. Since 2006 we are the distributor of Creaform 3D scanners and the different Geomagic 3D software from Oqton.
Our market is mainly national, although we have carried out specialised work in the USA and in several European countries, including measurements on the tokamak of the ITER nuclear fusion project in Cadarache, France. We have currently carried out more than 3,500 engineering projects and more than 350 installations in Spain. Our main sector is automotive and aeronautics, but our technology is very transversal and we have solutions and work carried out in practically all sectors.
Why have you decided to go to Mindtech for its third edition in 2023?
We were present at the previous edition, when we were beginning to emerge from the pandemic, and we thought it would be a good idea to return for this edition to present our solutions more closely to the market in northwest Spain without the inconvenience of the mask. We believe there is a lot of potential for growth in the industry in the area.
What is the added value for your company when participating in this fair?
The facility to make face-to-face contact with our clients in the area and to introduce ourselves to new potential clients who need our services.
What innovations will you be presenting at Mindtech 2023?
We will show our metrology automation possibilities by mounting our different 3D scanners on collaborative robots, we will also present our new 3D scanner PEEL3 and our backpack solution that allows us to scan anywhere designed for special jobs, as well as the new versions of the 16 softwares we distribute.
How do you face recovery/reactivation in the current context of lack of raw materials, rising costs of supplies and energy, etc.?
Over the years we have been in the market, we have learned that the crisis is constant, but only the reasons for it change. We are a company that has been growing steadily since its inception and we are convinced that our constant investment in innovation and providing new solutions is the key to continuing to grow in customers. In addition, we continue to develop the concept of “Coopetir”, cooperating to compete. A mentality open to change, innovation and collaboration is key to facing the challenges we face every day.
What do you think is the differential value of the metal industry and its associated technologies in the Iberian Pole in particular?
I believe that the differential value is marked by companies that have been brave enough to combine tradition with the ability to adapt to change by incorporating new technologies. This is the key for these companies to guarantee their future with constant growth.
