Why have you decided to participate in Mindtech in its third edition in 2023?
Our participation in Mindtech is strategic. The north of Spain has an important weight in terms of business since we have a significant part of our customers there, both end users of cables and specialised distributors. It should be noted that we also have a very substantial network of integrators that require energy packages and industrial robotics solutions. In addition, it is consubstantial to the company to seek representation at industrial fairs with a high technological component.
What is the added value for your company when participating in this fair?
Our main objective is to showcase solutions with high added value and to make the market aware of our broad portfolio of customised products and services.
Indeed, being present at Mindtech will allow us to continue on the path of improvement in order to provide the optimal solutions in cabling and robotics for each requirement.
What novelties will you present at Mindtech 2023?
At Mindtech we will present our solutions for manufacturing, industrial automation, metallurgy, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, packaging, among other areas. All our proposals meet the highest technical requirements, which are key to guarantee reliability and safety. For the manufacturing industry we will show our range of cables highly resistant to continuous movement and to the specific requirements of each working environment. We will also show our portfolio related to industrial robotics: novelties in energy packs, MTPReel (automatic cable reel) and cable management systems integrated within the robot itself.
For the Food&Beverage industry, we highlight our SumflexFortis+ cable, designed and manufactured for applications in very demanding environments in terms of resistance and safety, and our ECOLAB product range complies with the strictest regulations, contributing to a more hygienic environment within the food industry.
How do you face recovery/reactivation in the current context of lack of raw materials, rising costs of supplies and energy, etc.?
In our case in particular, we have noticed a growing demand since one of the values that characterises us is productivity at local level and our chain is rather small. Our national clients can count on a reliable manufacturer that produces within its area of action and, in addition, has two strategic logistics centres where a large number of references are cut to size and delivered within 24/48 hours. In this way, we have become a benchmark supplier at a time when our competitors working at European or global level cannot meet our customers’ day-to-day requirements either in time or in the form they require. For Sumcab, the fact that we have strengthened this service and the security stocks gives us an added value of service that other competitors who do not have strategic locations in the national territory cannot offer.
What differential value do you think the metal industry and its associated technologies have in the Iberian Pole in particular?
We have extensive know-how in the manufacturing industry, as we have been designing, developing and manufacturing very specific applications for the sector for a long time, based on close collaboration with the customer. A determining factor that defines us is having a wide ecosystem of partners at national level. We have the raw material manufacturer, the development and integration engineering companies, the integrator and the end consumer. This allows us to share synergies and join forces to create products and solutions without having to depend on the collaboration of other external actors to cover the needs of the market.
