Alberto Pinedo

Alberto Pinedo Lapeña works as National Technology & Security Officer at Microsoft Spain. With more than 25 years of professional experience in the technology sector, he works in aligning Microsoft’s technological capabilities with the strategic needs of the country. In the past he has worked in the areas of consulting and business strategy at Microsoft for public and private sector clients. He is an expert in artificial intelligence, cloud computing and cybersecurity, and is responsible for the adaptation and auditing of Microsoft’s cloud services to national and European regulatory frameworks, (such as ENS or the new RIA – European IA Regulation). He is also vice-president of the Cloud Commission of AMETIC, the employers’ association of the digital industry in Spain, and advisor to CiTIUS (Centro Singular de Investigación en Tecnoloxías Intelixentes de la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela) and is part of the team leading the development of ethical and responsible AI in the company.
