The Mindtech Startup Event (MSE) is looking for startups that provide solutions to three challenges linked to the current reality of the industrial and technological sector: innovation in energy, logistics and environmental systems, digital processes applied to industry and the most disruptive startup.
This competition is a unique opportunity to boost the business capacity of startups, gain visibility and benefit from open innovation opportunities with driving companies, and the winner of each category will also receive a cash prize of €2,000.
The MSE will have a jury of eight experts of recognised prestige in the industrial and technological sector, executives from leading companies in the automotive, naval, defence, aerospace, machinery-food and technology industries.
This initiative is backed by the Xunta de Galicia for technological transformation, innovation and improvement of the competitiveness of the Galician productive fabric.
Categories
The Mindtech and MSE organisation is looking for startups that offer innovative solutions to three challenges linked to the current reality of the industrial and technological sector in the following categories.
Most disruptive startup
Recognition of startups or entrepreneurial projects with an innovative value proposition.
Innovation in energy, logistics and environmental systems
Award to startups that develop solutions to optimise energy consumption, boost the circular economy and apply advanced technologies that improve mobility, safety and efficiency in transport, as well as the supply chain.
Digital processes applied to industry
Recognition of startups that transform industry with technologies such as data analytics, deep learning, advanced robotics, cybersecurity, etc.
Awards
The jury will select two finalist startups in each category, which will go through to the finals at an event to be held at the heart of the Mindtech fair on 18 June.

In order for your application to be considered for the Mindtech Startup Event, you must submit:
- Application form.
- Pitch Deck, presentation of the participating company of maximum 15 pages.
- Video pitch of 3 minutes maximum, where the idea or product is briefly presented.
The jury will evaluate these candidatures and will select two finalists for each category, who will go on to the final phase. This will consist of a 5-minute pitch during the MSE final on 18 June at the Mindtech fair. During this event, they will have to present their company and business idea to the MSE jury.
The deadline for applications is 15 May 2025 at 23:59h. Registration is free of charge!
Requirements
Companies that fit the definition of Startup:
- Newly created companies
- Companies with less than five years of experience if their activity is general.
- Companies with less than seven years of experience if their activity is specific to biotechnology, energy, industrial and other strategic sectors or if they have developed their own technology in Spain.
Award winners 2025
Most disruptive startup: KREIOS. Specialises in the development of advanced electric propulsion systems for satellites, focused on enabling sustainable operations in very low orbits. It has been awarded for its Air Breathing Electric Propulsion (ABEP) system; an innovative technology that allows satellites to orbit closer to Earth without using fuel, operating solely on solar energy.
Innovation in energy, logistics and environmental systems:Aeronautical Solutions of Galicia (SAEGA). It designs and manufactures hybrid fixed-wing drones with vertical take-off and landing, designed for logistics, surveillance, rescue and fire control missions, with a load capacity of up to 5 kg and extended autonomy, which makes them efficient and reliable in real environments. They have been awarded for their Anduriña 25 drone.
Digital processes applied to industry: LOGICMELT.Awarded for its Logivision platform, which uses AI models ‘on the ground’ to perform real-time defect detection, counting, heat mapping and safety alerts in enclosures. Thanks to Edge Computing, it delivers fast, reliable and more private results than relying on the cloud, reducing errors and operational risks.
End of the Mindtech Startup Event (MSE).
The final of this startup competition will take place at an event in the heart of the fair, on June 18st. The two finalist startups from each category will present their pitch and inspiring speakers from startups, venture capital, corporates, and other players in the innovation ecosystem will also participate.
