Mindtech aspires to become a “reference point for the Iberian pole”
Galicia’s first industry fair is generating great interest in the sector. ASIME, the promoter of the event, has just started marketing spaces with more demand than expected, especially from foreign companies.
Among the promotional activities, this past week Asime activated the website of the fair (www.mindtechvigo.com) which will publish all the news. On Friday 25 January there will be an international promotional event for the fair, in which the world’s leading robotics and automation companies, such as Kuka, Fanuc, ABB and Siemens, as well as process engineering companies, will participate.
The implementation of this project arises at the request of the companies that make up Asime, which conceive the fair as a global showcase for the industry of the Euroregion, attracting potential foreign investors to Galicia and northern Portugal.
The advances linked to factory 4.0 will play a central role in the event: additive manufacturing, artificial intelligence, artificial vision systems, big-data, etc.
ASIME is confident that the fair will consolidate and catch up with other events such as the BIEMH in Bilbao, although the benchmark for “avant-garde” and impact is the Hannover Messe in Germany.
