Kenta Kagikawa is an entrepreneur who has been involved in the construction industry in environmental measures since the early stages of his career. Based on his 19 years of experience in the solar power supply business in Japan, he established Univergy International together with a Spanish company with more than 20 years of experience in the large-scale solar power generation business in Spain. The two companies combined Japanese and Spanish technology and expertise to develop solar power generation in the world. Since then, the company has developed, built and operated large-scale solar power plants of more than 1 GW, with a total of 200 projects in Japan, and has contributed to the environmental improvement of housing, industry, agriculture, etc.
Kagikawa decided to expand achievements and leadership on a global scale with its Spanish partner, in line with the worldwide trend of renewable energy development, and established sales bases in 19 countries as global developers to operate overseas business proactively. So far, the company has carried out a total of 18 GW of PV power generation development projects in Southeast Asia, South America, Africa, Europe, etc., and continues to develop further. It also focuses on the development of renewable energies using natural sources including wind energy, green hydrogen, as well as solar energy.
