26 de April de 2023

  • Mindtech, the benchmark trade fair for the industrial sector of the Iberian Pole to be held in Vigo from 20 to 22 June, has signed a collaboration agreement with Abanca to jointly promote this edition of the fair.

Enrique Mallón, CEO of Mindtech, and Lino Comesaña, Director of Institutional Business of Abanca in Galicia, Northern Spain and Portugal, have signed this morning in Vigo a collaboration agreement.

Both entities have thus renewed their commitment for this third edition of the fair, which will be held at Ifevi in Vigo from 20 to 22 June.

The agreement seeks to strengthen the consolidation of this fair, reinforcing its position as an intercontinental hub of the industrial business of the Iberian pole, for its dynamic capacity to attract value-added business to the whole of Galicia and serve as a showcase for the entire industrial sector.

Both entities have materialised in this agreement their shared vision to give visibility to Galician industry in the international arena and to position Galicia as an industrial and technological partner of reference.

Enrique Mallón, CEO of Mindtech, thanked for the collaboration and recalled that “This is an unprecedented showcase to show the world all that our sector has to offer. We are working hard to make this edition a historic milestone, doubling the number of exhibitors and visitors in a meeting that was born from the industry itself and for the industry, and that is having a great reception. The metal sector and its associated technologies are highly internationalised and it is at meetings like this one that major contracts are closed and new value-added business relationships are created”.

With regard to the fair’s expectations, Mallón highlighted that they are very high, with this third edition being the consolidation: “The fair will bring together more than 250 exhibitors and 9,000 visitors. We are facing a fair that is already well established, a good example of this is that more than half of the exhibitors are from outside Galicia and we already have 10 international delegations from countries that want to do business here, in Galicia, as a gateway to Europe and the hub of the industrial business of the Iberian Pole”.

Lino Comesaña, Director of Institutional Business of Abanca in Galicia, Northern Spain and Portugal, stressed the “relevance and great international impact of Mindtech as a meeting point, knowledge, innovation and business of the metal industry and its associated technologies”. From Abanca “we want to be a financial ally of reference for this strategic pole for the Galician economy, which is experiencing a key moment in its transformation, with projects with great innovative potential and increasingly internationalised companies,” he said.
