Why have you decided to go to Mindtech for its third edition in 2023?

It is a great opportunity to learn about new developments at national and international level. We have attended the first edition and we can see that it is becoming a benchmark, not only for Galicia, but also for Spain and internationally.

What is the added value for your company when participating in this fair?

It gives us the opportunity to present our new products, to meet up with clients and suppliers and to catch up on new products that we don’t have the chance to see during the year. But above all, we want to promote what we can offer on a national and international level.

What innovations will you be presenting at Mindtech 2023?

As well as reaffirming our star treatment, electroless nickel, this year we want to promote electropolishing, which we had timidly presented at the 2021 edition, but we were still starting with the first works and tests. We will also present pickling for stainless steel. These treatment lines are unique in Galicia.

How are you facing the recovery/reactivation in the current context of lack of raw materials, rising costs of supplies and energy, etc.?

We are looking for alternatives for the electricity supply such as renewable energies, because it is our most important item, electricity. With regard to the increase in the price of metals, we can only follow the stock market, for example, nickel has doubled and we have had to pass on part of this increase to the final price of our services. We also try to rely on our suppliers by negotiating and anticipating possible supply shortages, such as the chemical products necessary for our processes.

What do you think is the differential value of the metal industry and its associated technologies in the Iberian hub in particular?

In the Iberian hub, the metal industry connects the naval, aeronautics, electronics and automotive sectors, but we still need to maintain our competitiveness, response capacity, transformation and R&D&I.
